Everything You Need To Know About The 2024 Lexus TX
Posted on November 14, 2023
Introducing the largest Lexus ever produced in Canada — 2024 TX. Lexus designed this new three-row vehicle specifically for North Americans who wanted a spacious option that offered comfortable seating for every single passenger inside.
That means this seven-seater vehicle is perfect for Edmonton drivers who want luxury comfort for large groups including family, friends and business colleagues.
We bet you're asking yourself...
Why has Lexus designed another three-row SUV when it already offers buyers the LX and GX? Because these spacious seven-seaters were created for buyers looking for body-on-frame luxury haulers designed for off-road adventures.
The Lexus TX bridges the gap between these two vehicles instead designed to match the more urban and family-orientated lifestyles of our Edmonton guests.
Did You Know?
The 2024 TX was actually introduced to Edmonton drivers as the Lexus RX-L in 2018. Lexus decided to discontinue the model in 2022 and instead take things to the next level with a brand-new model called the TX.
You might remember that the Lexus RX-L offered 211 litres of cargo space behind the 3rd row and 1,656 litres in total. In contrast, the all-new TX offers even more cargo space than that.
When you fold down the third row, owners get 2746 litres of roomy space which is almost double the amount previously available in the RX-L.
The spacious third row inside the 2024 TX also offers a significant competitive advantage in the luxury SUV segment. In fact, owners get far more room in the back for their legs and things than other luxury third-row SUVs like the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, and Infinity QX60.

2024 Lexus TX Exterior Design Features
Lexus considered everything when they designed the 2024 TX. One of the most thoughtful features is the exterior shape of the vehicle, designed to reduce the coefficient drag to just 0.34.
Even the logo on the front of the vehicle was designed so that comfortability on long drives would be enhanced.
That means rear passengers watching movies will feel more like they are sitting inside a stationary theatre than they are a moving vehicle.
Wheels also play a crucial role in the performance of the 2024 TX. The TX 350 Luxury and Ultra Luxury features 20-inch wheels, while the Executive grade comes with upgraded 22-inch wheels that feature a hollow rim structure that makes them quieter on the road.
What Colours Does the 2024 Lexus TX Come in?
The Lexus TX offers three exciting standard colour options for Edmonton drivers including Cloudburst Gray, Caviar, Nightfall Mica and Incognito. There are also two new additions to the colour line-up exclusive for the TX: Wind Chill Pearl and Celestial Silver Metallic.

Which Engine Do I Want in My Lexus TX?
The 2024 TX offers two turbocharged engines for Edmonton drivers to choose from. Both powertrains also have a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.
- The TX 350 has an extremely powerful 2.4L turbo engine that puts out 275 horsepower and 317 lb.-ft of torque. This trim level comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission with extra gears for saving fuel and standard all-wheel drive.
- The AWD technology ensures that most of the power is distributed between the front and back wheels depending on the situation and when more traction is needed.
- The TX 350 offers a fuel efficiency of 10.3 L/100 K Combined, which is even lower than 2024 IS 350.
- The TX 500 H F Sport offers guests an exceptional hybrid system with a 2.4L turbo engine and two electric motors that together give you 366 units of torque. It has a powerful electric motor between the engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox to boost performance.
- This model comes with Direct4 AWD technology which can also change power distribution to the wheels depending on the need. The system can also maximize fuel economy by sending all the power to the front wheels.
- The TX 500 H is rated at 8.6 L/ 100 KM City highway combined. Fun Fact: This is the same rating as the RX 500 H which weighs 200 pounds less than the TX.
2024 Lexus TX Interior Design Features
The Lexus TX offers three different interior colour options: TX 350 standard comes with Black Nuluxe material, with options to upgrade to Semi-Aniline Premium leather.
The Peppercorn colour is exclusively offered with upgraded leather. The TX 500H F Sport Performance grade offers standard semi-aniline leather in Black or Birch (seen above).
Your Dream Centre Console
The Lexus TX was created with the Canadian family in mind which means it's not just beautiful inside; it's functional, too. The dreamy center console in the TX is intelligently designed with dual lids — a first for Lexus.
These dual lids allow the center console to open left or right separately, giving the driver access to items inside without disturbing the passenger. You even use it as an armrest.
The TX also offers storage areas throughout the cabin, including an available centre console for the second row when equipped with captain chairs.
This removable semi-console box can be used to store small items or your devices such as tablets or phones.
You can also install the removable cupholders and keep your drinks there.
Let’s Talk About Seating Options
When it comes to seating, the 2024 TX standard trims offer a 7-seater bench in the second row.
However, Edmonton drivers can opt for the Executive grades and enjoy the comfort of 2nd-row captain chairs.
If you specifically want a seven-seater, then the TX 350 is your go-to option while the 500H is only available with captain chairs for the second row.
We love the third row inside the 2024 TX! It was clearly designed for comfort, with a large opening so entry and exit are easy and built-in grab handles for parents and passengers alike. With two seating configurations, even taller adults will find the leg and headroom sufficient.
Plus, the padded armrests and reclining seats make the longest road trips feel like a breeze. It truly does not matter where you sit inside the Lexus TX — every seat is a good seat.
2024 TX Sound – Mark Levinson Premium
The Lexus TX offers one of the most incredible sound systems available in a luxury three-row SUV in Canada.
- 21 Speakers
- 1800 Watts
- Clari-Fi
- Quantum Logic
- 7.1 Surround Sound
Imagine what it would sound like to have the entire Edmonton Symphony Orchestra inside your vehicle? With 21 speakers positioned strategically throughout the cabin, the TX is about as close as you get to making that dream a reality.
The Mark Levinson Premium sound system also offers a ton of muscle thanks to 1800 watts of power. The music is crystal clear thanks to Clari-Fi and Quantum Logic technology that works to distinguish every note and envelop you in sound.
Plus, because the speakers are positioned in such a thoughtful way, the TX surround is probably better than your home theatre.
2024 TX - Lexus Interface
The Lexus Interface was designed to make sure you stay connected inside your Lexus TX. Hook up your iPhone or Android device without any cords.
The Interface also self-updates over Wi-Fi, just like your smartphone does meaning you can always do the newest things.
The 14-inch touchscreen looks more like a tablet than it does an in-vehicle display. Our guests will love the option of Optically Bonded Glass which significantly reduces glare. That means even on the sunniest days you never have to worry about reading the display.
Cloud navigation uses cloud technology to give you real-time traffic updates, and easy-to-understand directions, and project important info onto the Heads-Up Display. It also thinks proactively, downloading maps for areas that lack service — think about those long stretches of Alberta highway.
Plus you will love Intelligent Assistant that acts as your personal assistant while you drive. It can do everything from changing the podcast to adjusting the temperature based on simple questions or commands.
All TX models also come with an available digital key feature which stores your key code on your smartphone. That means you can lock, unlock or warm up your vehicle from your phone.
2024 TX - Safety Features
The 2024 TX offers some amazing standard safety features including Safety Connect which has things like an emergency help button, automatic alerts in case you are ever in an accident, a way to track your car if stolen, and extra help if you have a flat tire or run out of gas on the side of the road.
Lexus Safety System 3.0+
All 2024 TX models are equipped with a safety feature called Proactive Driving Assist which can significantly reduce the risk of accidents. This technology does things like making small steering corrections or applying the brakes when a pedestrian appears or the vehicle in front of you slams on its brakes out of nowhere.
We love the Lane Change Assist feature which helps you steer more smoothly during lane changes. There is also Traffic Jam Assist which helps you drive when traffic gets thick. If your speed is under 40 km/h, the system will do the steering for you. As soon as you pick up speed, you will be reminded to place your hands back on the wheel and take over.
For those of our guests who feel intimidated driving a large vehicle in a small parking lot, Advanced Park is a game changer. This feature helps drivers park hands-free, whether in a parallel spot or backing into a space, making parking easier and less stressful.
The Back Seat Reminder feature is also available in the TX. This new Lexus technology beeps and flashes the turn signals as a reminder to make sure you have grabbed everything you need from the rear of the vehicle.
