There are a host of technology upgrades in the 2023 Lexus ES making it the most technologically advanced iteration of the model to date. In addition to our innovative suite of market-leading safety features called LSS 2.5+ and a brand-new infotainment system that is earning excellent reviews, the model is now home to a new hybrid engine making it the most fuel-efficient ES ever made. LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM 2.5+
According to NHTSA, there were almost 6.3 million reported crashes in 2015 — many of which were avoidable. Lexus knows that in order to protect drivers from collisions they need to support their decision-making with features that act as your second set of eyes on the road. Lexus Safety System 2.5 (LSS 2.5+) is designed to do just that with a suite of innovative functions that can prevent or mitigate collisions in a variety of different scenarios.
LSS 2.5+ addresses three key areas: preventing or mitigating frontal collisions, keeping drivers within their lane and enhancing road safety during nighttime driving. These advanced features include Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Left Turn Intersection Support, Lane Departure Alert, Intelligent High Beams, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Road Sign Assist and Lane Tracing Assist. All of these incredible features go a long way to helping you stay safe on the road and all of them are in the new 2023 ES.
Brand New Infotainment System
The new Lexus infotainment system was first introduced in the 2022 NX to rave reviews and is now available in the new 2023 ES. It is far more intuitive and includes features like hands-free voice commands. All you have to do is say “Hey Lexus” and then follow up with your request i.e. changing the song, turning up the heat, asking for directions, and more.
The new infotainment system is also cloud-based which means it can store all your preferences to your profile and can be accessed through any other Lexus vehicle with the same system. The includes everything from your favourite seat position and radio stations, ideal seat position and more.
THREE EFFICIENT POWERTRAINS TO CHOOSE FROM
The 2023 Lexus ES comes with three options for your powertrain: a 3.5L V6 that gives you a robust 302 horsepower, a 2.5L four-cylinder engine paired to our advanced all-wheel-drive system or the ES 300h hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5L engine and an electric motor to give owners a 5.2 L/100 km fuel rating on the highway making it the most efficient ES ever made.
